To ensure the best experience for both the skin and the nervous system, preparing for a tattoo should be treated like preparing to climb a mountain or run a marathon. The more grounded and nourished the body is, the better the session—and the healing—will be.
Hydration & Nutrition: Focus on healthy, balanced meals and increased water intake in the days leading up to the appointment.
Skin Care: It is incredibly helpful for the tattooing process if the area is gently exfoliated and moisturized regularly during the week prior. Healthy, hydrated skin takes ink much more consistently.
Sun Protection: Tattoos cannot be performed on sunburned, peeling, or damaged skin. Avoid direct sun exposure on the area for at least two weeks before your date.

Nourishment: Eat a full, substantial meal at least two hours before the appointment. Arrive well-rested from a full night’s sleep.
Hygiene: Please arrive clean and showered.
Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy, modest access to the area being tattooed. Dressing in layers is recommended, as body temperature often fluctuates during a session. Please choose items you don’t mind getting a stray drop of ink or purple stencil on.
Supplies: Bringing a water bottle and your preference of snacks is highly encouraged to keep energy levels stable.
Location: Vale of the Fae is a private, appointment-only studio. To maintain a calm environment, the exact address is provided only once the booking is confirmed.
Parking: Ample parking is available [mention general area, e.g., "directly in front of the building" or "on the quiet street nearby"]. Specific directions and entry instructions will be included in the booking confirmation email.
Timing: To respect the privacy of the client before and after, please aim to arrive exactly at the scheduled time. There is no waiting room, so arriving early may interrupt a previous session.
